BigSteelBox Structure's "World Biggest Oil Worker" Makes a BIG Splash at Global Petroleum Show

GPS-newsletter_400.jpgThe Global Petroleum Show (GPS) recently took over Stampede Park in Calgary, AB, and BigSteelBox Structures was there. The theme of our Booth was going BIG, which is why we showcased TWO 12' wide units, an office building and a custom washroom unit, plus the "BigSteelBox Man"!

Standing approximately 54 feet high, the world’s biggest oil worker was constructed of 16 BigSteelBoxes. He took months to design and plan, and in the end, he stood close to the height of a six-storey building.

"The BigSteelBox oil worker represents the idea of bigger possibilities when it comes to modular building solutions," says Devon Siebenga, President of BigSteelBox Structures. "We frequently design and build 12’ wide units to provide the oil and gas industry with a steel alternative to wood frame structures."

Last year we were at the GPS, we showcased the "World’s Largest Lunch Box", which was a mobile kitchen and lunchroom built from an oversized (14' wide X 28' long) shipping container.

The BigSteelBox Oil Worker was also featured on Global News, Calgary. Check out the video below:

Bigsteelbox-moving_170X100.jpgBigSteelBox makes residential moving and storage simple.

We deliver a BigSteelBox to your home, you pack it at your own pace, then we pick it up and move it to your new home. If you need storage, keep the Box at your place or we'll store it at one of our secure locations.

Benefits of Building with Steel

BSBS-skid-stairs_170X100.jpgFor mobile structures on remote worksites, building with steel makes sense when compared to wood-frame construction.

BigSteelBoxes are built for ocean shipping and withstanding the elements, so they're much more solid, durable and stackable than trailers.
