BigSteelBox Structures recently completed a 2-storey structure for the Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC), an emergency response organization that mitigates the environmental impact of marine oil spills in order to protect the oceans, wildlife and the public.
What is so unique about this structure is that it is housed on a barge, just off the coast of BC, so it had to be completely self-contained. And, since BigSteelBoxes are composed of corten corrugated steel and built to withstand the heavy abuse and constant movement of ocean travel, they were the perfect material for this structure!

BigSteelBox Structures, presented the “world’s largest lunch box” at the Gas & Oil Expo in Calgary in June, 2013. This custom designed lunchroom was constructed for leading global mining and metals company Rio Tinto Alcan, and will serve remote workers at their B.C. operations based in Kitimat, BC.

Check out the BigSteelBox that we turned into a Harley garage. This custom modification features a checker plate floor and ramp, space for a tool box, a fridge, beer keg and TV. It’s not only a secure place to park a Harley Davidson (or other prized possession), it’s also a simple way to get a little guy time.
